GREENVILLE, PA (04/30/2013)(readMedia)-- Thiel College sophomore Benjamin Hellner-Burris attended the 245th American Chemical Society National Meeting in New Orleans, La., on April 8. Hellner-Burris, who is a medicinal chemistry and mathematics major, presented a poster on his research into the utilization of mixed metal oxides as semiconductors in solar cells for producing hydrogen as a clean, renewable fuel from water.
Hellner-Burris is a member of the American Chemical Society, Delta Sigma Phi fraternity, Lambda Sigma (sophomore honorary), the Paintball Club and Pi Nu Epsilon (music honorary). He is from Pittsburgh and is a graduate of Woodland Hills High School.
