Berkeley native Hayley Beckett selected for teaching fellowship in France

WALLA WALLA, WA (06/05/2013)(readMedia)-- Hayley Beckett of Berkeley, Calif. was chosen to receive a fellowship upon graduating from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.

Beckett was selected to be an English teaching assistant by the Teaching Assistants Program in France (TAPIF). During the upcoming school year, Beckett will have the opportunity to instruct elementary or secondary school students in English in some assigned region in France.

Beckett is a 2009 graduate of Berkeley High School. She received a B.A. in Race & Ethnic Studies during the Whitman commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 19.
