LENOX/STOCKBRIDGE, MA (01/11/2018) (readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School's Parents' Association is pleased to announce special guest speaker Dr. Stephen Brand, Executive Director of Global Learning and Development of Strategic Alliances at Bay Path University and recent TED Talk presenter, who will lead and energetic and interactive presentation on Raising Innovative Children. This free community-wide event will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Fitzpatrick Hall on Berkshire Country Day School's Brook Farm campus at 55 Interlaken Road, Stockbridge, MA. It is open to all parents, educators and interested community members and is part of the Parents' Association Speaker Series.

The presentation will explore how parents and educators can create experiences that inspire children to become innovators. Dr. Brand will share his takeaways from interviews conducted with hundreds of innovators from all walks of life, including world-renowned architects, artists, inventors, musicians, entrepreneurs, and engineers.

Dr. Brand has a master's in interactive technology in education from Harvard University and a doctor of management degree from Case Western Reserve University. He continues his doctoral research looking at the early inspirations and environments that spark innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs.

The Speaker Series is held one to two times a year at Berkshire Country Day School. As parents and educators collaborate in planning the series, they look to ensure that the topic selected relate directly to teaching and parenting children and are relevant to emergent issues within our community. The Speaker Series also reinforces Berkshire Country Day School's mission to inspire the individual promise of every student, that each may become an exemplary citizen of the world.
