LENOX, MA (06/18/2009)(readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School, an independent school for students in preschool through ninth grade, celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2009 at an Awards & Graduation Ceremony held on Friday, June 12, 2009. Graduates of the Class of 2009 are:
- Elizabeth Butler, Pittsfield, MA
- Roya Daemi, Great Barrington, MA
- Byron Hutchison, Kinderhook, NY
- Austen McNulty, Lenox, MA
- Claire Meyer, West Stockbridge, MA
Elizabeth Butler is a recipient of the Theater Ensemble Prize and the Donald T. Oakes Citizenship Award. Elizabeth will be attending Walnut Hill School in the fall.
Roya Daemi is the recipient of the Dawn Masiero Graphics Prize and the Donald T. Oakes Citizenship Award. Roya will be attending Berkshire School in the fall.
Byron Hutchison is the recipient of the Philip Potter Classics Prize, Thomson Science Prize, and Donald T. Oakes Citizenship Award. Byron will be attending Milton Academy in the fall.
Austen McNulty is the recipient of the Donald T. Oakes Citizenship Award. Austen will be attending Darrow School in the fall.
Claire Meyer is the recipient of the Theater Ensemble Prize, Digital Filmmaking Prize, G. James Fawcett English Prize, Ramsbotham History Prize, Philip Potter Classics Prize, Adeline Cowhig Mathematics Prize, Donald T. Oakes Citizenship Award, Madame Grad French Prize, and the Butler Academic prize, given to the ninth grader with the highest grade point average the class. Claire will be attending Bard College at Simon's Rock in the fall.
