Berkshire Country Day School to Host 'Dangerous Women" at Shakespeare & Co

Financial aid fundraiser to be held April 24 & 25

LENOX, MA (03/18/2010)(readMedia)-- Berkshire Country Day School is pleased to announce it will be hosting the debut show of "Dangerous Women: An Evening of Song & Sass" at the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox. There will be two performances: Saturday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. and a Sunday, April 25 matinee performance at 2:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the BCD Financial Aid Program. Both shows are open to the public.

The production of "Dangerous Women" features cabaret performers Lisa Kantor, Pam Rich, Laurie Schiff and Debbie Zecher, who will sing an eclectic array of songs from Broadway shows and beyond. This original performance will be the first "caba- revu-sical" style show of its kind.

The Saturday, April 24 evening ticket includes a cocktail hour with the evening's signature Dangerous-tini cocktail courtesy of Berkshire Mountain Distillers and live entertainment by Heather and Guy Fishman; a raffle of class gifts; live auction of 5 exciting packages; and post-performance Dangerous Desserts Reception sponsored by Edible Adventures, H.R. Zeppelin Fine Handmade Chocolates, Tutti Baking Co. and Cheesecake Charlie's. An encore matinee performance will be held on Sunday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m.

All four 'Dangerous Women' are mothers and career women by day and cabaret singers by night. While each enjoy solo careers performing at various venues around Berkshire County and beyond, this is the first time the women, who are friends, will perform together. Under the musical direction of well known Berkshire County musician Joe Rose and artistic direction of former Broadway performer Joseph Rich, the women will perform songs reflecting the poignant, triumphant, and sometimes humorous journeys through love, life and being a woman!

This evening is made possible by our Underwriters Sion & Demarest Boney, Tom & Gwen Connolly, David & Beverly Hosokawa, Paul & Margaret Lindenmaier, Mary Pope Osborne, Basil & Rosaland Petricca, Steven & Helice Picheny, Claire & John Pollart, and Harvey & Mary Stokes Waller, and Sponsors.

Tickets are on sale now at the Shakespeare & Company Box Office. Tickets are $75 for the Saturday night gala performance, and $40 Adults/$20 Student for the Sunday matinee.
