Beschler Finishes 73 at Golf National Championships

BATAVIA, NY (06/12/2017) (readMedia)-- CHAUTAUQUA, NY: Brooks Beschler's run through the 2017 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Golf National Championships ended with a 73rd place finish after a four-round total of +58 at the event which ended on June 9th.

Beschler began the tournament by shooting an opening round 91 and rebounded to shoot an 83 on day two and his best round of the week in round three with an 82. He ended the championships with a final round of 90 to finish with a total of 346.

This year's field included 92 individual golfers and 13 teams. Mohawk Valley CC's Dante Migliore won the individual title for the second consecutive season with a six under par total of 282, pacing the field by six strokes. Georgia Military College won the team championship, scoring a collective 1215 (+63).

Jamestown CC teamed up with the Chautauqua Golf Club to host the championships, which ran from June 6 – 9. The event has been held at the CGC every year since 2000.
