Best Sausages Prepared for State Fair Contest
DES MOINES, IA (08/28/2023) (readMedia)-- Jenna Brady of Runnells won first place overall in the Purnell Old Folks' Sausage Cook Off judged Friday, August 18, at the 2023 Iowa State Fair.
Entries were judged on taste, best use of product and eye appeal.

The Iowa State Fair Food Department is the largest of any state fair in the country. There are 138 divisions, 695 classes and over 6,800 entries at this year's Fair. Food Department judging is held in the Elwell Family Food Center.
