STANDISH, ME (01/30/2012)(readMedia)-- Beth Richardson, of Portland, Maine, formerly of Cape Elizabeth, recently completed a weeklong service trip to Haiti sponsored by Saint Joseph's College. In cooperation with Partners in Development (PID) of Ipswich, Mass., a team of three faculty members and eight students began construction of a new house, volunteered in a health clinic, and worked on children's programs. Richardson, an associate professor of business administration and human resource management specialist, worked on an organizational handbook for field director of the Haitian PID operation, designing training for employees and volunteers, along with creating job descriptions for the Haitian directors.

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is a Catholic liberal arts college located on Sebago Lake in Standish, Maine. The college serves an undergraduate enrollment of 1,000 students and offers 40 academic programs on campus. Saint Joseph's also offers an online program for working adults. www.sjcme.edu
