Bethany Williams Named Hardin-Simmons University's Homecoming Queen

ABILENE, TX (10/15/2012)(readMedia)-- Bethany Williams of Lubbock, Texas, was named Hardin-Simmons University's Homecoming Queen for the 2012-2013 Homecoming festivities.

Bethany Williams, daughter of Kirk and Cindy Williams, is a senior biology major with minors in biochemistry and honors.

She has been involved in a variety of activities on and off campus such as the Honors Program, Tri Phi social club, Tri Beta social club, a member of the HSU cheerleading squad, New Student Orientation Steering committee, the HSU Pre-Health Club, the HSU Bass Fishing Club, and also volunteers at Hendrick Medical Center and Meals on Wheels.

She says her favorite memories of HSU are all the different sporting events, pledging, making the cheering squad, and being able to study abroad through HSU. Her future plans involve attending physician's assistant school or grad school next year.

Hardin-Simmons University, founded in 1891, is a private Christian liberal arts university, and has been affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas (Texas Baptists) since 1941.
