ELLENVILLE, NY (05/13/2008)(readMedia)-- Sprague & Killeen, Inc. a leading provider of quality insurance for over 140 years, is happy to announce the 40th anniversary of one of their most treasured assets: Beverly Yochmann.

Beverly Yochmann recently celebrated her 40th anniversary on January 2nd, 2008. On January 3rd Sprague & Killeen held a quiet celebration at Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville to honor Beverly’s accomplishments and there to celebrate were family, friends and colleagues.

Beverly became a member of the S&K team when Jack Killeen and Donald Sprague purchased the Carlsen Agency, her former employer. Jack Killeen will be the first to you tell how important of an asset Beverly became to the S&K team, “When Don Sprague and I purchased the Carlsen Agency in 1968, Beverly agreed to join us. Her insurance knowledge and fine work ethics were evident from the start. Later, with her progressive thinking and her managerial skills, she became indispensable to the firm. Her loyalty and friendship will always be appreciated by me and my family.”

In 1972 Jack asked Beverly if she would take on the role of office manager for Sprague & Killeen, which she accepted and ran until 1994 when she partially retired. In 1988, Beverly went with Jack & Dot Killeen to a PIA Convention in Atlantic City, where she was honored with becoming a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), which she considers one of the most memorable times in her career.

When asked about her decision to make insurance her career, Beverly explained that she was briefly exposed to the insurance industry in 1951 when she went to work at the Allen D. Potter agency for about six months. In 1956, Allen Potter Jr contacted Beverly about coming back to work for the agency as office manager. She agreed with the stipulation that he would send her to insurance school. Beverly attended the Hartford School of Insurance. It was there that she realized her passion for insurance, an industry she finds very logical and allows her to help people.

Beverly is an important part of Sprague & Killeen. The employees and customers of Sprague & Killeen have come to know and love her calm personality and willingness to help others. She has been a tremendous role model for many as she leads by example. She is a hard worker, full of wit and charm and is always ready for a challenge. How does she keep her energy and enthusiasm even after 40 years? Simply stated, Beverly says, “I love my job!”

Current President of Sprague & Killeen, Dwight Coombe added: “Beverly is invaluable in the operation of this firm. Her experience and knowledge are a perfect compliment to the entire staff. Beverly’s experience is perfect in her assisting in the oversight of the firm’s financial matters. Beverly has always been about checks and balances and with her efforts, Sprague & Killeen is most likely the best run insurance firm in the Hudson Valley! She loves to come to work and that sets the tone for everybody. We are very proud of Beverly!”

Sprague & Killeen, Inc. would like to send warmest congratulations to Beverly Yochmann on her 40th anniversary as a Sprague & Killeen, Inc employee. The entire staff wishes Beverly the best of health, great happiness, and continued success. Beverly would like to say thank you to Dwight and the staff of Sprague & Killeen for making her feel so special.
