"Big E" Tops Iowa State Fair Super Bull Competition

DES MOINES, IA (08/13/2026) (readMedia)-- "Big E," the 3,026-pound Red Angus bull owned by Brett and TJ Goecke of State Center, outweighed the competition to win the Super Bull Contest judged Thursday, August 13, at the 2026 Iowa State Fair.

Gary and Barbie Ruebel of Saylorville claimed second place with the 2,834-pound Simmental bull, "Benny," and Claire and Lynn Henry of Indianola took home third place with "Ashland," a 2,782-pound Angus bull.

"Big E" will be on display in the Cattle Barn at the Iowa State Fair through August 23, 2026.
