ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (02/10/2012)(readMedia)-- While the city of St. Augustine has played a vital role in our nation's black history, its story is one that's all too often forgotten.
The Black Heritage Xperience, a cultural web-based business devoted exclusively to promoting St. Augustine's black heritage, alongside Flagler College's Students in Free Enterprise, are working with the local community to fill this need.
Our mission is to make Saint Augustine a black history tourist destination by bringing together businesses, historic sites, educational institutions and black cultural organizations that promote the history of our region.
If you would like to learn about how this project will bring economic opportunity to your organization and the St. Augustine community, please join us on Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. at the Solomon Calhoun Center at 1300 Duval St. in Saint Augustine. A second meeting will be held Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Gamache-Koger Theater on Flagler College's campus, 50 Seville St., St. Augustine.
We request that you RSVP if you will be able to attend this meeting by emailing us at info@blackheritagexperience.com or by calling 904-540-0927.
