Blue Bell's Garret Rosiek named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week

AURORA, IL (04/09/2013)(readMedia)-- Aurora University junior Garret Rosiek (Blue Bell, Penn./WissAhickon H.S.) was selected as the Midwest Lacrosse Conference (MLC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending April 7, 2013. The award is the second consecutive for Rosiek.

Rosiek, an attackman, led Aurora to a 2-0 week with a 29-2 win over Elmhurst College and a 17-3 win over Mount St. Joseph. In the two games, he tallied 19 points, including a 15 point effort in the win over Elmhurst. In the game, he had three goals and 12 assists. He then added a goal and three assists at Mount St. Joseph.

On the season, Rosiek leads AU with 65 points and 40 assists to go along with 25 goals and 37 ground balls.

Next action for the Spartan men's lacrosse team, currently 8-3 overall and 5-0 in the MLC, comes on Wednesday, April 10 when they host Concordia University Wisconsin. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. on Vago Field.
