Boise Native presents to Walla Walla School Board

WALLA WALLA, WA (11/07/2012)(readMedia)-- Boise native Allison Burns recently gave a presentation to the Walla Walla school board about Whitman College's Mentor Program. The mentor program is Whitman's largest community service program. It matches its 150 student mentors with at-risk youth in the Walla Walla community. Burns is in charge of coordinating the program and its volunteers.

Burns is the daughter of Robert and Jacquelyn Burns from Boise. She is a 2009 graduate of Bishop Kelly High School.

At Whitman, Burns is a senior English major. She enjoys flag football and participating in student government.
