Brett Tiedens of Dumont Brings Home the Gold
ORANGEBURG, NY (03/28/2012)(readMedia)-- Dominican College Debaters, Brett Tiedens of Dumont and Heather Eisenstadt of New City, NY, brought home first place trophies in the most recent competition of the Public Forum Debate League. The tournament included participants from Dominican College, Baruch College, SUNY-Rockland, Passaic Community College, Yeshiva University, and Stern College. Eisenstadt and Tiedens won the final round debate in the extemporaneous debating division against a very strong team from Baruch College.
Two sets of awards are given in each division: team awards, based on the quality and strength of arguments made, and individual speaking awards, based on the quality of speaking presentation. Eisenstadt and Tiedens also earned first and third place speaking awards, respectively.
