Brittany Prince Awarded James Edward Oglethorpe Award
Forest Park Resident Honored at Oglethorpe University's Commencement Ceremony
ATLANTA, GA (06/30/2011)(readMedia)-- Forest Park's Brittany Prince was recently awarded the James Edward Oglethorpe Award at Oglethorpe University's commencement ceremony. The 2011 graduate majored in history at Oglethorpe. The two annual James Edward Oglethorpe Awards are presented to the man and the woman in the senior class who, in the opinion of the faculty, have excelled in both scholarship and service
Oglethorpe University was founded in 1835 and enrolls 1,100 students representing 34 states and 28 countries. Oglethorpe is a member of the Annapolis Group, an organization of America's most selective liberal arts institutions. For four consecutive years, Oglethorpe has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for commitment to and achievement in community service.
