Brittany Weaver of Williamsport is Inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa

CHESTERTOWN, MD (03/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Washington College is pleased to announce that Brittany Weaver '14 of Williamsport, MD was recently inducted into the Alpha Psi Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa sheltered at Washington College.

Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, was founded December 3, 1914 at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. The founders formulated the idea that leadership of exceptional quality and versatility in college should be recognized, that representatives in all phases of college life should cooperate in worthwhile endeavors, and that outstanding students, faculty and administrators should meet on a basis of mutual interest, understanding and helpfulness.

Weaver is majoring in political science and minoring in mathematics. She is a member of The Cater Society of Junior Fellows, Pi Sigma Alpha and is a presidential fellow. A graduate of Williamsport High School, she also serves as the chair of the Honor Board and is on the Student Government Association Executive and Review boards.

Founded in 1782 under the patronage of George Washington, Washington College is a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in colonial Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
