CLHS Students Serve as State Senate Pages

Concordia Lutheran High School students Lucy Moll and Alyssa Purwanto were welcomed to the Statehouse by State Sen. Liz Brown (R-Fort Wayne) this week.

They spent the day touring the Statehouse, observing debates, and interacting with Brown.

"I always enjoy meeting with local students who have traveled all the way down to the Statehouse to learn about state government," Brown said. "It is so valuable for our Hoosier youth to learn about the legislative process and how they can become civically engaged in our community."

"There is no better way to do that than to be a Senate page, and I encourage local schools and parents to consider signing students up for this unique opportunity."

Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the program on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during the legislative session and groups serve on Wednesdays.
