CPS Announces Share A Story Book Donation Campaign Recipient

POTSDAM, NY (06/19/2013)(readMedia)-- Community Performance Series recently selected the Edwards Knox Central School District as the recipient of the organization's Share A Story book donation campaign.

On June 3, more than 50 children's books were delivered to the school, ranging in reading grade levels from pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade, from multiple genres.

Share A Story, a campaign sponsored by CPS, celebrated the art of storytelling by encouraging community members to donate new or gently used copies of their favorite books. CPS provided stickers to be placed in each book so donors could reflect on why they chose that particular story. The campaign donation hours coincided with all CPS sponsored events, as well as during normal box office hours.

In response to this donation, librarian Julie Bailey of Edwards Knox commented, "We are so pleased that the Edwards Knox library was chosen to receive the books donated to the Share a Story project. These new books are a welcome gift, and we will make sure they are enjoyed by the students at our school."
