CSC Health Professions students visit UNMC

Twenty-five Chadron State College Health Professions students, accompanied by Dr. Ann Buchmann and Dr. Wendy Jamison, attended sessions about health careers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Sept. 24 and 25 in Omaha.

Each year, students enrolled in the Public Health Early Admissions Student Track, the Rural Health Opportunities Program, and the Kearney Health Opportunities Program visit UNMC, according to Nikki Carritt, deputy director of the Nebraska Area Health Education Center Program.

During the visit, students have the opportunity to learn more about their future careers in the allied health professions, dentistry, dental hygiene, medicine, nursing, pharmacy or public health. Students also speak with UNMC students in their declared programs and gain information and tips on how to be prepared to succeed at UNMC.
