NEW YORK , NY (06/01/2011)(readMedia)-- Caitlin McCann, San Mateo, CA, Pitcher- McCann comes to Pace from Notre Dame Belmont High School where she starred as a pitcher. She is an outstanding pitcher with a great drop ball. She is exceptionally accurate and will look to make an immediate impact in the Setter rotation next season. McCann was a 2011 All-League selection as well as a being named Outstanding Offensive Player for the Half Moon Bay Tournament. She was featured in Sports Illustrated Faces in the Crowd in the April 20, 2009 issue. She also received the English II Award and the Julie Billiart Citizenship Award.

Pace University is an NCAA Division II member of the Northeast-10 Conference with 20 varsity sports teams. During the 2010-11 school year, the Pace women's volleyball team made their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The women's basketball team also had an exceptional year, advancing to the NCAA Sweet 16 game vs. Bentley University.
