Caitlyn Unger of Warwick, NY, was recognized with multiple awards during Hartwick College's spring recognition ceremonies.
At Honors Convocation held on May 3, Unger received the E. Perrie Saxton Scholarship. The scholarship was established by the family and friends of former nursing professor and department chair, Edna "Perrie" Perrine Saxton, Class of 1953. The scholarship supports a rising junior or senior nursing student in either the three- or four-year degree program with demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to improve the health of their community.
During the College's Athletics Award Ceremony held on May 11, Unger received the Philip S. Wilder Jr. Award for Academic Distinction, which is presented to athletes and/or managers of teams who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Unger is a member of the Hawks women's basketball team.
