Campbellsville University Office of University Communications earns eight wins at annual CASE conference

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (01/04/2019) (readMedia)-- A year-long preparation for this year's CASE Kentucky conference paid off with Campbellsville University earning eight awards Dec. 7 in Louisville.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is a nonprofit corporation that helps its members build stronger relationships with their alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their institutions to prospective students, diversify the profession and foster public support of education.
"This proves what we have always known...that we have quality communication professionals at Campbellsville University, who develop messages to our various constituencies. Certainly, we are proud that others recognize this so well," Dr. Keith Spears, vice president for communication and assistant to the president, said.
"They truly demonstrate the principles of servant leadership. We congratulate them for this recognition and look forward to their next level of service."
The entry categories were Grand Award, Award of Excellence or Merit Award.
For the Grand Awards, Campbellsville University was recognized for:
Magazine/Tabloid Improvement for "Campbellsvillian," the alumni magazine, by the Office of University Communications and Tabloid for "Life in Taylor County" by the Office of University Communications.
For the Award of Excellence, Campbellsville University was recognized for:
Photography Series for "Homecoming 2017" by the Office of University Communications and
Feature Writing for "Baby Jesten to watch his mother's graduation from Noe Education Center" by Ariel Emberton.
For the Award of Merit, Campbellsville University was recognized for:
Best Practices in Fundraising for "Maroon and Gray Give Day" by the Office of University Communications and Office of Alumni Relations; Photography -- Individual for "Shakespeare Under the Stars: Twelfth Night" by Joshua Williams, Photography – Individual for "The Drowsy Chaperone" by Joshua Williams, and Photography – Series for "Drew Holcomb Concert" by Joshua Williams.
Joan C. McKinney, director of university communications, said, "The Office of University Communications staff is proud to receive these new CASE awards. CASE is our professional organization and is comprised of colleges and universities throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
