CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (11/27/2018) (readMedia)-- Campbellsville University's RN to BSN program is an online degree program for registered nurses to easily acquire a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in the midst of their busy schedule.
The program is designed for current registered nurses to advance their career and provide the opportunity for students wishing to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
"Nursing is a fast growing and evolving professional area of practice," Dr. Michele Dickens, associate dean of the School of Nursing and associate professor of nursing and online nursing program director, said.
"A BSN gives students opportunities to work in different areas of nursing such as case management, legal nursing consultant, travel nursing and teaching and also allows for greater mobility within the profession," Dickens said.
The program will offer a wide range of nursing topics, with coursework in gerontology, social statistics, research, advance health assessment, transcultural nursing and community health nursing as well as the ability to choose one of three electives such as contemporary healthcare management, health economics and financial management in healthcare.
The next term begins Jan. 7, 2019 and the cost per credit hour is $325. The program consists of 41 general education credit hours, 39 previous ADN or diploma credit hours, 24 core BSN credit hours, 13 BSN required credit hours and 3 credit hours of guided electives, totaling 120 credit hours.
The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and is Ranked in the Top 50 RN-BSN programs by Best College Reviews.
