Campbellsville University to present 'A Christmas Story' Dec. 6-9

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (11/20/2018) (readMedia)-- "A Christmas Story" will be presented at the Russ Mobley Theater in the Alumni Building at Campbellsville University Dec. 6-9 at 114 University Drive, Campbellsville.

The production is presented by Town Hall Productions, Community Trust Bank and Campbellsville University Theater.

Show times are Thursday, Dec. 6, Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8, all at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale for $10 for general admission; $7 for seniors (65 and up); and $7 for children (12 and under). Cost for Campbellsville University students is $5 and $7 for CU employees. Online tickets sales are available at www.townhallpro.com/theater-film or you can call (270) 789-5266.

Online tickets sales end at noon the day of the presentation. From that point, tickets can be reserved at (270) 789-5266 or purchased at the door while supplies last.

The play is adapted by Philip Grecian and is based on the motion picture "A Christmas Story," written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark and on the book "I God We Trust, All Others Play Cash" by Jean Shepherd.

The play is sponsored by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Ill.

The Old Man – Ray Hollenbach of Campbellsville; Randy – Timothy Rogers of Campbellsville; Miss Shields – Olivia Helm of Elizabethtown; Flick/Desperado 1: Jackson Hayes of Campbellsville;

Schwartz/Desperado 2 – Griffin Hansford of Campbellsville; Ester Jane – Hannah Hansford of Campbellsville; Helen – Natalia Acosta of Campbellsville, and Farkas/Black Bart – Colin Harris of Campbellsville.

Cheryl Brumley, instructor in theater arts, is the director of the play. Starr Garrett, associate professor of theater and theater director, is the technical director; Matt Nall, technical director, is in charge of set design and construction; Andrew Ward/Town Hall Productions is producer;

Natalie Shadrick, a junior of Paducah, Ky., is stage manager; Holly Jo Evans, a freshman of Barbourville, Ky., is prop manager; Haley Saylor, a senior of Monticello, Ky., is in charge of costumes; and Janae Boling, a sophomore of Crestwood, Ky., is assistant stage manager.
