Campers Light the Night in Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2017) (readMedia)-- Jim and Dolores Carroll of Russell, Iowa won Grand Champion honors, Best Use of State Fair Theme and Showmanship in the annual Campground Lighting contest judged Thursday at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. Jim and Dolores Carroll earned free camping for the entire 2018 Fair.

Reserve Champion honors and eleven free admission tickets to the 2018 Fair went to Patrick Coughlin of Des Moines. Coughlin also claimed the Most Original Entry title.

Sarah Wade of Prairie City won the Most Number of Lights Used Division.
