Campers Light the Night in Iowa State Fair Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/27/2024) (readMedia)-- James Breckenridge of Jasper County won Champion Overall honors in the annual Campground Lighting Contest, judged at the 2024 Iowa State Fair. Breckenridge earned free camping for the entire 2025 Fair.

The Hoffmans, Schuts, and Schaffers of Polk County won Reserve Champion Overall, winning eleven admission tickets to the 2025 Fair.

Becky and Don Riordan of Boone County won Showmanship.

Tim Smith of Story County won Best Use of State Fair Theme.

David Banks of Warren County won Most Number of Lights Used.

Emma Wright of Polk County won Most Original Entry.
