Canal Corporation Announces Fall Hours of Operation for Canal System

ALBANY, NY (09/03/2009)(readMedia)-- The New York State Canal Corporation today reminds boaters the fall hours for navigation along the New York State Canal System will be in effect from Thursday, September 10, 2009 through Sunday, November 15, 2009. As of September 10, the Canal System will operate from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. daily.

The New York State Thruway Authority/Canal Corporation offers a free email service called TRANSalert to its customers via email or text messaging to inform them of major incidents and emergencies that may affect travel on the Thruway or navigation on the Canal System.
