Canal Corporation Announces Repairs of Flight Lock Road to Begin in the Town of Waterford
Temporary Road Closure and Boat Launch to Take Effect Beginning Nov. 2nd
ALBANY, NY (11/02/2009)(readMedia)-- The Canal Corporation today announced repairs of Flight Lock Road in the Town of Waterford, Saratoga County, will begin on Monday, November 2, 2009 and are expected to last approximately two weeks. Flight Lock Road and Alcathies' boat launch will be closed to the public for approximately two weeks while the repairs are made.
During this time, signs will be in place to alert the public of the temporary closure. Only emergency vehicles and permanent residents of Riberty Lane will be allowed access to Flight Lock Road. Through traffic may experience delays due to construction activity. No other through traffic will be allowed.
The repairs will be conducted by Kubricky Construction of Glens Falls, New York, as part of their contract to rehabilitate the adjacent Lock E-6. The repairs will entail reconstruction work of the road and complete repaving of the road.
The Canal Corporation appreciates the public's patience while the repairs are being made. The Canal Corporation will advise when the repairs are complete and Flight Lock Road reopens.
