Canby Native Presents at Murdock Conference

WALLA WALLA, WA (11/19/2012)(readMedia)-- Canby native Nick Pellatz recently presented his research on crystalline nanopowders in the Garnet family at the annual Murdock College Science Research Conference, which took place at Whitman College this year. More than 400 students and faculty from colleges throughout the Northwest gathered for the conference, and students presented results from research they had conducted at their home institutions, summer internships or elsewhere. He conducted research with Professor Kurt Hoffman from Whitman.
Pellatz is the son of Curt and Coni Pellatz from Canby. He is a 2010 graduate of Canby High School.
At Whitman, Pellatz is a junior physics major, and he plays trumpet in the Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble.
