Capital Region Army National Guard Soldiers included in Valentine's "Shout Out" Message

LATHAM, NY (02/12/2014)(readMedia)-- New York Army National Guard Soldiers from Catskill and Albany deployed in Kuwait are featured in a Valentine's Day "Shout Out" video prepared by the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade's Public Affairs Detachment.

New York Army National Guard Captain Brandon Reynolds from Catskill and Specialist Brandon Simmons from Albany are among the Soldiers sending Valentine's Day wishes home to their loved ones.

Both Soldiers are members of Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 42nd Combat Aviation Battalion.

The Soldiers left home in October and have been deployed in Kuwait since December providing Army helicopter support to U.S. troops in the region.

The Valentine's Day "Shout Out" video prepared by the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade features Active Army Soldiers from around the United States as well as the New Yorkers. Other videos feature Army National Guard Soldiers from Michigan and Delaware who are currently serving as part of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade Team.

Other New York Army National Guard units deployed to Kuwait under the command of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade include Company A of the 3rd Battalion 142nd Aviation, which is based at the Albany International Airport, and the 642nd Aviation Support Battalion which has elements in Rochester, Ronkonkoma, Olean, and Dunkirk. About 450 New York Army National Guard Soldiers are serving in Kuwait.
