Capital University selects 2017 Summer Scholars

Capital University supports opportunities for students to engage in the high-impact practice of undergraduate research. One of these opportunities is the Summer Scholars Program. Eight students were chosen as Summer Scholars for the 2017 summer term. These students will work one-on-one with a faculty mentor for a 10-week period to complete a research project proposed by the student. Generous gifts from alumni and friends of the university provide funding for Summer Scholar stipends and a student housing allowance. Summer Scholars and their mentors will also participate in social, cultural and other co-curricular activities throughout the summer, culminating in a showcase of their projects at the end of the term.
