Carthage Social Work students attend 2025 NASW-WI conference

Seven students from Carthage's Social Work department attended and served as conference volunteers at the 51st Annual National Association of Social Workers of Wisconsin (NASW-WI) Conference in the Wisconsin Dells from Oct. 29-31.

Students learned about best practices in social work, networked with seasoned professionals and agencies, and established themselves as future leaders in the field. They attended workshop topics on the role of artificial intelligence and technology in social work, immigration issues, trauma-informed approaches to care, and strategies for preventing burnout and building resilience.
