Carthage engineers attend national Society of Women Engineers conference

The Carthage engineering and computer science departments were well represented at the annual Society of Women Engineers conference in New Orleans this October. Students in attendance included engineering majors Juliana Alvarez, Lauren Howe, Maxine Lathrop, and Savannah Reisner, as well as computer science student Sarah Kersten. The students were accompanied by Kathryn Hasz, assistant professor of engineering.

The conference attracted 20,000 engineering students and professional engineers. Between keynote speakers, panels, technical demonstrations, and networking lounges, there were ample opportunities for connection and growth. This year's theme, "Embrace Your Story," highlighted the value of all the cumulative experiences that make up one's life.
