Carthage students participate in the regional American College Theatre Festival

Carthage students participated in the American College Theatre Festival. The Region 3 Festival took place at Madison College in Madison, Wis. Jan. 6-10. Region 3 includes students from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Western Ohio.

The American College Theater Festival nurtures artistry across all theater disciplines, including playwrights, actors, directors, designers, dramaturgs, critics, technicians, crafts artisans, and more.

Professors Martin McClendon, Kim Instenes, and Herschel Kruger accompanied the students. Prof. Instenes serves as the co-vice chair for the festival's Design, Tech, and Management portion. Prof. Kruger is a past regional chair of the festival and was awarded the prestigious ACTF Gold Medallion in 2023.
