Casey Chernin Named Missouri Baptist Spartan Athlete of the Week

ST. LOUIS, MO (09/09/2011)(readMedia)-- Casey Chernin, women's volleyball player, was named the Spartan Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

Chernin, the senior outside hitter from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., had an impressive week for the team. She recorded just shy of four kills per game and was a nominee for the AMC Player of the Week award. Chernin was a leader on offense for the team, helping to lead MBU to an 8-1 start to the season.

Chernin is a graduate of Lafayette H.S. in St. Louis, Mo. In the spring of 2010, Chernin transferred from St. Louis University.
