Rachael Clark's vision for outdoor living space

CAZENOVIA, NY (03/20/2013)(readMedia)-- The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host a series of exhibitions of work by seniors in the Art and Design Program. Groups of students will rotate through the gallery from March 19 through Commencement on May 18. Students from the Interior Design Program will show their work from March 19 to April 2.

Rachael Clark, of South Glens Falls, N.Y., is majoring in interior design. She created her Dream Room Model - Outdoor Living Space, from foam core, mat board and glue. She writes, "When assigned to model a 'dream room,' I knew immediately that I wanted to design an outdoor room. I aimed to create a multipurpose indoor and outdoor space that could be added on to an existing home. The existing home would open into a casual seating area grounded by a fireplace and a cooking and dining area. This space would feel open and bright due to large amount of windows and doors within the space. One would then depart through sliding glass doors, down a series of steps (lit by recessed stair lighting) and enter an outdoor room grounded by a large eco-friendly fire pit."

Upcoming exhibitions are:

Studio Arts and Photography programs: April 17 at May 5
