In the United States, about 1.3 million people live in nursing homes, many facing loneliness, memory loss and emotional isolation, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. A group of Cedarville University students have created a program to help the elderly by offering encouragement, prayer and companionship just miles from campus.
