Chamber Welcomes Berkshire Bank to Glenville

SCHENECTADY, NY (06/11/2007)(readMedia)-- The Chamber of Schenectady County hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Berkshire Bank’s Glenville Branch, located at 262 Saratoga Road, Glenville on Friday, June 8, 2007. In celebration of their newest branch and to reflect their commitment to the community, bank officials presented a donation to the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady.

"This is our tenth branch in New York, and we are very pleased to have reached this milestone and to be part of the Glenville business community,” commented Michael P. Daly, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We continue to view the Albany Capital Region as an important market area and expect to continue to expand our New York branch network in the future. Sean A. Gray, First Vice President of Retail Banking, announced that the Bank has appointed Kara P. Rock as its Glenville manager. Prior to joining the Bank, Ms. Rock was Branch Sales Manager at the North Greenbush Hannaford branch of Citizens Bank. She was previously employed by CharterOne Bank.

The Bank offers a full array of financial products and services at the new Glenville branch, including personal and business checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, money market accounts, IRAs, residential and commercial mortgages, auto loans, and a wide variety of other types of commercial and consumer loans, home equity loans, retirement products and wealth and investment management, drive-thru banking, and an ATM.

Berkshire Bank now has ten branches operating in New York, having opened four branches in 2007. The Bank has a total of 31 branches and 41 ATMs throughout Northeastern New York and Western Massachusetts. Berkshire Bank's regional headquarters are located at 41 State Street in Downtown Albany, where the Bank also maintains a branch. Other branches in the region are located in Clifton Park, Delmar, East Greenbush, Glenville, two in Guilderland, Halfmoon, Colonie and Oriskany Falls.
