SCHENECTADY, NY (06/12/2007)(readMedia)-- The Chamber of Schenectady County hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate DeLuke Orthodontics its newly purchased location on Friday, June 8. The business originally opened in 2005 on Balltown Road in Niskayuna and recently relocated to 1327 Union Street, at the corners of Union Street and Waverly Place.

Dr. Michael DeLuke is a native of Niskayuna and graduated from Niskayuna High School in 1994. He represents the third generation of DeLukes entering into the dental profession. His grandfather, the late Dr. Dominick DeLuke, built a practice in Schenectady in the 1950s. He was eventually joined in practice by all four of his sons: Drs. Robert, Donald, Dean and James DeLuke. The four brothers are still practicing together in Schenectady.

Dr. Michael DeLuke attended Villanova University, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from SUNY Stony Brook and obtained his Certificate of Proficiency in Orthodontics and Master of Dental Science (MDS) degree from the University of Connecticut. He is presently an Assistant Professor in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Connecticut, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and serves on the faculty of the resident dental program at St. Clare’s Hospital.

Dr. DeLuke resides in Scotia with his wife, Renee, and their daughter, Gianna.
