PHILADELPHIA, PA (05/05/2010)(readMedia)-- Carol Jean Vale, SSJ, Ph.D, president of Chestnut Hill College, awarded junior Theresa Polidora-Hastings, an elementary education major from Woodbury Heights, NJ with the St. Catherine Medal at Honors Convocation on April 25, 2010.
The St. Catherine Medal of the Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society is awarded to a sophomore or junior student who "represents the high ideals of a Catholic college education." The recipient is selected on their contribution of leadership and service to the College.
Theresa Polidora-Hastings is actively involved in many service and leadership projects at the College, such as the College's annual Empty Bowl dinner. She also volunteers her time and talents at the St. Francis Inn, the Impact Thrift store, Ronald McDonald House, Shriner's Hospital, LaSalle Academy, and participates in the Philadelphia Autism walk and Flyer's Carnival.
