"Conducting this research study took a great deal of work, commitment and dedication," said Carroll. "The fact that the study was selected to be published was both exciting and rewarding. The experience that I gained from this project is invaluable and will greatly assist me as I pursue my graduate studies. The standards set by Professor Dixon opened my eyes to the many challenges involved when conducting research."
Dr. Dixon added, "The time commitment required to complete a research project from original design to publication is daunting to say the least. This impressive accomplishment clearly demonstrates Chris's initiative, self-confidence and unique academic ability. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Chris on this project over the past two years."
A Health Science student, Carroll is a member of Lock Haven University's 3+3 Doctor of Physical Therapy program that is affiliated with Widener University. Entrance into this program is highly competitive and by invitation only. Carroll has just finished up with his third year at LHU and will begin at Widener in the fall. Dr. Dixon said, "I wish him well at Widener University and look forward to hearing of his continued success."
Carroll, a resident of Andover, N.J., is the son of Chris and Karen Carroll.
