Chris Folken of Austin chosen as Volunteer of the Year for the St. Olaf College Volunteer Network

Student honored at Outstanding Leadership Awards Program

NORTHFIELD, MN (04/28/2014)(readMedia)-- Chris Folken '14 of Austin was recognized as the "Volunteer of the Year" at the recent Outstanding Leadership Awards Program at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. This award was given through the St. Olaf Volunteer Network.

The Volunteer Network currently supports 31 volunteer organizations on campus. So far this year, these student-led organizations have logged a total of 19,456 volunteer hours.

Folken was recognized for his dedication to the St. Olaf Cancer Connection organization.

He is a graduate of Austin High School and the son of Sherri Crawford.
