Christopher Law of Gainesville hired as Marietta College's Director of Web Services

Gainesville native Christopher Law was recently hired as the Director of Web Services at Marietta College in Ohio.

MARIETTA, OH (06/14/2013)(readMedia)-- Christopher Law '10, who has a strong background in online marketing and web communications, recently joined Marietta College as the Director of Web Services.

Law, who started on June 10, is part of the Office of College Relations, which is Marietta's marketing and public relations center.

Law, who earned a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations, had been living in Gainesville, Fla., since he graduated from Marietta.

"I've always loved being active in the Marietta community and look forward to strengthening those connections," Law said. "I'm excited that this position has me working with many departments on campus."

Law was working for the University of Florida while pursuing a Masters in Web Design and Online Communication, which he is expected to complete by the end of the fall.

"We are pleased that someone with Chris' online marketing ability, as well as the knowledge of Marietta College, was available and willing to join our team," said Tom Perry, Executive Director of College Relations. "He has jumped right into the fray and is already making a difference when it comes to our online and social media needs."

Law is living in Marietta with his two dogs, Prince and Whiskey.

Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college. Tracing its roots to the Muskingum Academy begun in 1797, the College was officially chartered in 1835. Today Marietta College serves a body of 1,430 full-time students.
