Clark and Worcester Art Museum partner on course, exhibition about identity

An exhibition at the Worcester Art Museum - co-curated by Toby Sisson, Clark University associate professor and program director of studio art and Nancy Burns, the Stoddard associate curator of prints, drawings, and photographs at the Worcester Art Museum - explores race and ethnicity.

Together, Sisson and Burns developed a Clark course and the accompanying exhibition. "Us Them We | Race Ethnicity Identity" explores how contemporary artists since the mid-1970s have used formal artistic devices like text, juxtaposition, pattern, and seriality to explore socio-political concepts in their work. Student artwork accompanies the exhibit.
