Clemens Fine Arts Center 2017-18 Season Kick-off with Jerrod Niemann September 22

Local Sensation Opens Show

MEDIA RELEAE: PADUCAH, KY (09/01/2017) The hit country singer/songwriter Jerrod Niemann kicks-off the Arts In Focus series at the West Kentucky Community and Technical College Clemens Fine Arts Center Friday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Jerrod Niemann was writing country songs before he was 10 years old, gaining enough prominence to co-write singles for Garth Brooks, among many others. He first hit country charts as a performer with a platinum number-one song in 2010, "Lover Lover." Niemann went on to have several more hits from his first four major label albums. His newest album, This Ride will be released in October.

Niemann is speaking from his heart with his romantic new single, "God Made A Woman." Fueled by a nearly decade-long career, he is digging deeper with his forthcoming Curb Records album featuring an uplifting duet, "A Little More Love," with good friend and labelmate Lee Brice. Known for clever wordplay and attention-grabbing lyrics, the highly engaging singer-songwriter last topped country charts with his platinum-certified multi-week No. 1 anthem, "Drink to That All Night," from High Noon.

Local sensation Mason Ramsey will start the show. Ramsey, age 10, is from Golconda Illinois, and performs the music of Hank Williams. Mason appeared on stage at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center at age four with country star Josh Turner, and has also performed with Gene Watson and Kenny Rogers. Mason was invited to the 2017 Hank Williams Festival in Montgomery, Alabama, where he has performed twice.

Tickets for this show are $30 for adults and $15 for students and children. A season ticket for all five shows in the Arts in Focus series is $100. Tickets are available by calling the Clemens Center Box Office at (270) 534-3212 or at artsinfocus.org.
