Clever Kids Collect Honors in Iowa State Fair Joke Contest

DES MOINES, IA (08/23/2010)(readMedia)-- Logan Rozenboom, 8, of Knoxville earned first place in the Children's Joke Telling contest judged Friday at the 2010 Iowa State Fair.

Second place went to Landon Rozenboom, 6, also of Knoxville, and eight-year-old Daniel DeBower, 8, of Waverly took third.

The contest was part of "Rural Americana Olde Tyme Competitions" in Farm Bureau Pioneer Hall. A first prize of $5 and ribbons were awarded to each class.

"Non Stop Fun" at the Iowa State Fair runs through August 22. The Fairgrounds are located at East 30th and East University Avenue, just 10 minutes east of downtown Des Moines, and are open 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. each day of the Fair. Exhibit hours may vary.
