HARTSVILLE, S.C. (04/17/2012)(readMedia)-- The Coker College Department of Education is proud to congratulate Kimberly Edgerton as the recipient of the 2012 Departmental Award. Each year, the department faculty select an outstanding graduating senior to receive this recognition. Edgerton is an early childhood education major from Florence, S.C.
"I am truly excited about Kimberly's future as a teacher," said Associate Professor of Education Susan Henderson. "She is so creative and brings such energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and our profession."
Edgerton was selected for the award based on overall scholarship and contributions to the department. She earned a spot in the top ten of her class each year, served as a junior marshall and is a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education.
