Coker College Student Joshua Turner Presents at Research Symposium

HARTSVILLE, SC (03/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Coker College student Joshua Turner, of Simpsonville, S.C., recently presented at the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) Undergraduate-Faculty Research Symposium held Feb. 17 in Spartanburg, S.C.

In his research project, "Combining Robots and the Internet," Turner created a web interface to control a robot remotely. A webcam feed was embedded in a graphical control panel interface allowing him to control the robot and view the result of many commands. His project was supervised by Coker College Associate Professor of Computer Science Ze Zhang and supported by SCICU. Turner is a senior computer science major at Coker.
