Colby Thompson Wins Music Awards at the University of Vermont
Colby Thompson received the Amanda Cup and the Lyman Rowell Award for Academic Achievement in Music at the University of Vermont's College of Arts and Sciences Awards Ceremony on May 18.
The Amanda Cup is given to a graduating senior who has made superior contributions to the musical life of the department. The Thomas Read Award in Composition is given for outstanding achievement in music composition. The Award is named after Professor Emeritus Thomas L. Read, who taught at UVM from 1967-2008.
